Sheila and Katherine Lyons were last seen just after 2:00 p.m., walking between Wheaton Plaza and their home, only half a mile away. Their mother told them to be home by 4:00 that afternoon, but they never returned. They disappeared without a trace, and have not been heard from since.
Investigators say Lloyd Lee Welch, dob: 12/30/1956, aka: Michael Welch, was noticed paying attention to the sisters the afternoon they disappeared. Welch, a convicted sex offender, has been in prison in Delaware since 1997. He traveled extensively throughout the U.S. from the 70’s through the mid 90’s. Welch worked as a ride operator for a carnival company, often set up at malls. He was arrested in several states, charged with sexual offenses against young girls.

Case History In October 1958 the remains of a white male were found in an wooded area in Bedford, Pennsylvania, about 85 miles east of Pittsburgh. While authorities believe the gunshot wound was self-inflicted, they don't know if it was an accident or suicide.
Investigators believe the man was well off because of the gold dental work and the contact lenses, which were unusual for the time. The contact lenses were traced to a Chicago manufacturer and fitted by an Illinois physician, but there are no records of the buyer.
The rifle was sold in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1939. The brass key hasn't been matched to any location. The dental work has yielded no matches.

Becky has been Missing since 10-1-06. The person of interest in this case has been telling people that Becky has been found and buried. THIS IS NOT TRUE. BECKY IS STILL MISSING.
Her family was put into the CODIS system a year ago. They still think of Becky every day and wonder where she is and what happened to her. Becky's family and friends are still looking for her and do not intend on giving up their search. Not knowing is the hardest part. No matter what the circumstances... They want to bring Becky home.
Becky’s story is like so many others. She was a grown woman trying to find happiness and love. This quest led her to an involvement with a man her family did not approve of and a life they would never have wanted for her. It was a life she was trying to improve when she was reported missing.
Facts of the case: Becky was reported missing by her live in "BOYFRIEND". He told investigators, “She left walking. She was going to church. She never returned.”
The “Boyfriend”, was no stranger to Midland Police and was on probation at the time Becky disappeared. He has since violated his parole. During the investigation he was ask if he would be willing to take a polygraph test. He said yes, but shortly afterwards changed his mind. The Family knows: Bryce was at Georgia Southern at a party Saturday night, January 30th. He drove back to Armstrong Atlantic with some friends of his, who also had a dorm room. He did not live on campus, but was just hanging out with friends who did. We believe he was heading home, in Guyton. The route we believe he would take would be Highway 204 to Old River Road. There are other routes as well but this would have been the most logical.
He left in his White 2000 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab Short Bed with either Maine or Georgia plates. He had two identifying stickers on his rear windows. On the passenger side was an ATL Braves "A" and on the drivers side was a Falcons symbol.
His cell phone had been dead since Saturday so we have not been able to track the cell phone. Sprint is one of the only carriers that can not track a cell phone once it is off. We are also unable to track the GPS. We are hoping that we are able to locate his truck tracking the vehicle alarm. His bank account has not been used since his disappearance.
Message from Bryce's Mom:
"I am relying on your prayers to help my family find the strength to make it through this search for Brycie. Please know how much your help and prayer mean to us."
If you see him, or know ANYTHING, please call (910) 232-1687
PLEASE VISIT THIS WEBSITE TO SEE HOW YOU CAN HELP HIS FAMILY IN THE SEARCH FOR BRYCE... THEY NEED YOUR HELP!
UPDATE: On April 27, 2010, Bryce's truck and a body were discovered in a lake near the AASU campus. Police confirmed the next day that the body found inside was Bryce's.
Robert was last seen by his girlfriend leaving his place of business, Clove Road Deli, in Montague NJ. He said he was going to Shop Rite. Beverly Miller never dreamed that her daughter would end up on a cold case list. But she hopes it will help solve the 2002 disappearance and presumed murder of Sonya Bradley. "I don't know what it's going to take to bring my child home, but I can't find peace until she is home".
ScienceDaily — People's ability to recognize abducted children is impaired when they view a photo of a smiling, clean child, but come into contact with the same child whose appearance is very different because he or she is upset, crying, disheveled or unkempt.
Two experiments were conducted to test the ability of adults to recognize children from photos. Over 150 adults were shown pictures of children that were either "cleaned up" as they would typically appear, in school photos, happy and clean, as well as a "dirtied up" picture, where the child looked dirty, tired, sad or angry. Results from the study show that recognition is best when the original appearance of the child matched the appearance when memory is later tested.
"If your child is abducted you need to supply law enforcement with a recent photo of your child, preferably not a school photo, but one taken around the house at play. One taken in their natural state, the way you normally see them on a daily basis".
